Learn German in Germany with EF Education First

Learn German in Germany with EF

German is the most widely-spoken language in Europe and is incredibly useful when pursuing a career in the sciences, Classics, tourism and international business. Most competitive Classics Ph.D. programs require the ability to read German, and it's not a language you want to overlook if you might be dealing with Europe's largest economy or best-traveled nationality.

EF is pleased to offer flexible German immersion courses in Munich, a charming Bavarian student city where you'll quickly feel at home, but will still find plenty to keep you busy.  With EF you can design a language immersion course to fit around your academic schedule.  Whether you're looking to brush up on German over the summer or would like to spend a semester or year earning German credits, German immersion with EF might be a good option for you.  EF welcomes university-age students from a number of countries around the world, so studying German in Munich with EF will allow you not only to greatly improve your German abilities and immerse yourself in Bavarian culture, but also to develop bonds with fellow students from diverse backgrounds and locations around the globe.

College Credit and Exam Preparation

EF knows college students are busy.  That's why we've designed our German courses to help you get fluent as quickly as possible.  When you learn German in a normal college or university, you speak German only during classtime, perhaps with a conversation lab mixed in here and there.  With EF, though, you'll be speaking German 100% of the time, whether you're in class, the iLab, or buying your groceries.  Your new friends at EF won't (in most cases) speak English as their first languages, so you'll need German to communicate.  Our courses are literally guaranteed to help you climb up the Common European Framework of Reference quickly.

To make it easier for college students to accelerate their learning, we've partnered with Eastern Washington University so that you can earn college credit for German language and history courses.  If you're planning on taking the TestDaF, you can enroll in EF's proven exam preparation course.  EF students also take elective courses relevant to their interests, so you'll learn to incorporate German language and culture into your daily life.

Stress-Free Study Abroad

If the thought of planning a semester abroad stresses you out, you're in luck.  EF makes it easy to study German in Germany because our talented admissions team is happy to help you arrange every detail of your journey, from flights to travel insurance to airport transfers. You can choose to live either in a residence with other EF students, or in one of our carefully-selected host families.  The host family option comes with its own meal-plan, as you'll be provided with home-cooked meals for breakfast and dinner (and really, what could be better than that?)

Learn German in Germany with EF at the EF Sprachschule in Munich.  Established in 1965, EF is the world leader in international education and has been offering German classes in Germany since 1969.  EF offers a variety of study abroad programs in countries around the world.  In Germany, our German courses are offered at EF Munich.
